Student Portfolios & Web Sites
- Student Portfolios
- Students taking my Graphic Communication I & II (EDTE 3475 & 3476), Communication Technology (EDTE 4444), and graduate Electronic Publishing (EDCI 5774) classes have been creating Web-based Portfolios since 1995.
These aren't "portfolios" in the conventional sense. They display all (not just "best") work created in these (and other) classes. Moreover, the emphasis is on "process" rather than "product," since most of my students are future Technology teachers (not artists), though students from many other majors (including Art) take these courses as well. In most cases, these pages were the first Web pages these students had created.
- Student-Created Web Sites
- Students taking Communication Technology (EDTE 4444) and Electronic Publishing (EDCI 5774) are required to design and develop a Web site for a non-profit client.
